MYOFASCIAL RELEASE: DeeEtte specializes in JFB-Myofascial Release. She has studied Myofascial Release (MFR) exclusively with John F. Barnes, P.T. since 1999. John Barnes is an international lecturer, author and noted authority on Myofascial Release.
Myofascial release is a very effective hands on technique that promotes sustained pressure and a gentle form of stretching, producing a profound healing effect upon the body tissue (especially fascia) thereby decreasing pain and restoring motion. Fascia is a tough, web-like, three-dimensional connective tissue, which encompasses the body from head to the toe without interruption.
The fascia surrounds every muscle, bone, nerve, blood vessel, and organ of the body all the way down to the cellular level, including the brain and spinal cord. Malfunction of the fascial system due to trauma, cumulative effects of poor or uneven posture, whiplash, surgery or inflammation can create a binding of the fascia, resulting in abnormal pressures on nerves, muscles, organs, and bones, which can produce pain, headache, and restriction of motion.

REIKI: Reiki is an energy healing modality, which utilizes natural and non-invasive hands-on touch based on ancient Tibetan Buddhist teachings. Reiki was rediscovered in Japan during the mid-1800’s by Dr. Mikao Usui.

ACUTHERAPY: Acutherapy was developed because of the specific need to be able to effectively touch the body and relieve pain and suffering when anything more than the gentlest of touches is contraindicated. This light touch technique can be used on any injury without harm to the injured tissues.
AROMATHERAPY: Aromatherapy is the use of essential oils from plants and flowers in healing. This usage dates back thousands of years.
CRANIOSACRAL: CranioSacral Therapy is a recently developed hands-on approach to healing that involves gentle non-invasive pressure. This type of therapy is aimed at the CranioSacral system and permits the inner wisdom of the clients to self-correct imbalances, leading to improved functioning of the body.
DEEP TISSUE: Deep Tissue Massage is a general category including a number of approaches to freeing the body’s system of myofascial connective tissue through deep soft tissue manipulation. Many of these approaches owe their origins to Rolfing.
FACELIFT MASSAGE: Facelift massage is a pampering, relaxing massage that improves the appearance of the face through stimulation of the underlying layers of skin and soft tissue. Facial massage works wonders as a pre-operative, and post-operative treatment, as well as a regular treatment for maintaining beautiful, healthy skin.

INFANT/CHILD: Babies need touch in order to survive and grow. Massage will help your child grow, in mind and body. Starting a massage program for your infant or child is an important step in encouraging strength and coordination in the muscles that support the head, neck and spine as well as preventing future problems both physically and emotionally.
LYMPHATIC DRAINAGE MASSAGE: Lymphatic drainage massage (LDM) is a gentle, non-invasive, rhythmic style of massage which mimics the motion of the lymphatic system throughout the entire body or a specific region of the body. (LDM) stimulates the immune system, assisting stagnant tissue fluid out of tissues. Lymphatic drainage opens the initial lymphatics and stimulates lymph vessel contraction which in turn reduces and provides relief from edema or swelling, an accumulation of fluids in the tissues.
POLARITY: Polarity has specific therapeutic techniques and guidelines. Polarity balances the energetic systems of the body by directing attention to the blocked energy, which causes pain and disease.
PRENATAL: Prenatal massage not only makes a woman feel pampered, but offers undeniable physical benefits as well. Massage can relieve fatigue, enhance sleep and calm an active baby. When receiving pregnancy massage, you are positioned on your side to give the therapist access to your back, or in a semi-reclined position for massage on the front of your body. Your body will be supported with pillows or special cushions.
REFLEXOLOGY: Reflexology is a unique method of using the thumb and fingers to stimulate more than 7,200 nerve endings in each foot. These nerve endings correspond to all parts of the body, including the organs and glands. This work often includes the hands and the ears.
SEATED MASSAGE: Chair or seated massage is performed in the workplace. Employees will be seated upright in a special massage chair and remain fully clothed. No oils will be used, so there is no soiling of one’s clothing. The session generally lasts from 10 to 30 minutes. Techniques include Acupressure, JFB-Myofascial Release and Swedish massage.
SENIORS: Seniors should, in many cases, have a doctor's permission prior to treatment. This is merely a precaution to ensure your good health. Geriatric massage encompasses basic relaxation and stress relief, and is a beneficial tool in fighting many of the symptoms of aging.
SHIATSU: Shiatsu is often considered a "deep tissue" technique. This Japanese acupressure massage restores energy to the body.
SPORTS: Sports or performance massage is for the athlete or performer; these techniques apply at all stages of training - post-event, during training to prevent and expedite rehabilitation after injury. Massage is an important part of a regular maintenance program and is widely used by individuals, teams, Olympic and professional athletes as well as theatrical entertainers.
SWEDISH: Swedish massage is the most common form of massage. Swedish is a therapeutic approach to healing that applies a scientific system of activity to the soft tissue structure of the human body by means of a variety of strokes, chief among which are effleurage, petrissage, friction, tapotement, and vibration.
THAI: Thai is the traditional massage of Thailand, and traces its roots to India some twenty-five hundred years ago. Influenced by both Chinese and Indian healing arts, the techniques used in Thai massage resemble those used in Shiatsu by the practitioner.
